Professional packing service
Two packers can empty a three-bedroom house in a day. It takes most people three weekends.
Packing is where moves are won or lost. Badly packed boxes break, and worse, they slow the load - a crew that has to repack your kitchen is a crew that finishes in the dark.
What you get
Full pack or fragile-only
Full is everything. Fragile-only covers the kitchen, glassware and pictures - the things that actually break.
Materials delivered free, three days ahead
Double-walled boxes, wardrobe cartons, tissue, tape and a marker. Unused boxes collected back.
Room-coded and inventoried
Every box is labelled to its destination room, so unpacking is not an archaeology exercise.
We unpack too
Priced separately. Most people take the full pack and unpack themselves; if you want both, say so in the notes.
Priced the same way for moving to Cheltenham and Gloucester, moving to Birmingham, moving to Bristol and Bath and moving to Manchester.
What packing adds to a house move
Packing is priced as a percentage of the move itself, shown here against the sizes people ask about most. Fragile-only covers the kitchen, glassware and pictures; a full pack is everything. Materials are priced separately, from £55 for a studio to £300 for a five-bedroom house.
| Property | Fragile-only pack | Full pack |
|---|---|---|
| 1 bedroom | £480-£695 | £580-£840 |
| 2 bedrooms | £670-£985 | £810-£1,190 |
| 3 bedrooms | £985-£1,440 | £1,190-£1,740 |
Bands, not guesses - your price is fixed once you accept it, based on what you declare, not a survey. For larger or complex moves we may offer a free video survey to check it matches; it only changes if the job itself differs, and we tell you before continuing. If your plans change, your deposit is fully refundable when you cancel within 14 days of booking.
What happens on a packing day
Packing - the details
How much does packing add?
Fragile-only adds about 20% to the move cost, a full pack about 45%. Materials are separate and range from £55 for a studio to £300 for a five-bedroom house.
How long does packing take?
A two-bedroom flat is a half-day for two packers. A four-bedroom house is a full day, done the day before the move.
Will you pack things I would rather do myself?
Set anything aside and tell the crew. Personal documents, jewellery and medication should travel with you regardless.
What does a professional packing service cost for a 3-bedroom house?
A 3-bedroom move on its own is £820-£1,200 locally. Add fragile-only packing and it becomes £985-£1,440; add a full pack and it's £1,190-£1,740 - materials on top, from £165.
What's included in a full pack versus fragile-only?
Fragile-only covers the kitchen, glassware, mirrors and pictures - the things that actually break. A full pack is everything in the house: wardrobes, drawers, books, the lot, room-coded so unpacking is not a guessing game.
Can I just buy the boxes without booking the packing service?
Yes - materials alone are priced separately from the pack itself, from £55 for a studio's worth up to a five-bedroom house's. Say so when you book and we deliver them the same three days ahead.
Do I need to empty drawers and wardrobes before the packers arrive?
No - that's what a full pack is for. For fragile-only, clear anything you're packing yourself out of the rooms the crew is covering so nothing gets boxed twice.
