Most removals go wrong for one of three reasons: the van was too small, the crew was too small, or nobody checked whether it could park. We check the details before confirming your quote. Fixed prices from £320.

What you get

Fixed price, not an hourly meter

You get one number before we start. If we underestimate the job, that is our cost, not yours.

Free video or home survey

Fifteen minutes on a video call is usually enough. For four bedrooms and up we come to you.

Everything wrapped, nothing shifted loose

Blankets on every hard edge, straps on every stack, mattress and sofa covers as standard.

Cheaper than the surprise invoice

Search "cheap removals" and most results are a low headline number that grows once the crew arrives. Ours does not - the price we quote is fixed once you accept it, not renegotiated on the day.

Priced the same way for removals in London, removals in Northampton, removals in Cheltenham and Gloucester and removals in Birmingham.

Prices by bedroom count

Every quote on this page comes from the same table, broken down here by bedroom count. Local move (up to 10 miles), ground floor, no packing - the same basis quoted from £400 below. Distance, floors and packing are priced separately and shown before you commit, never folded in silently.

Bands, not guesses - your price is fixed once you accept it, based on what you declare, not a survey. For larger or complex moves we may offer a free video survey to check it matches; it only changes if the job itself differs, and we tell you before continuing. If your plans change, your deposit is fully refundable when you cancel within 14 days of booking.

What happens on move day

The evening beforeYou get a text confirming your crew and arrival window; they call when they set off the next morning.
Arrival and walkthroughThe crew checks in against the inventory from your quote, so nothing is missed and nothing extra appears on the invoice.
Protect, then loadHard floors, doorframes and stair edges are protected first. Furniture is wrapped in blankets with mattress and sofa covers as standard, then strapped; heavier and bulkier pieces load first for a stable run, boxes and fragile items last so they travel on top rather than underneath everything else.
TransitWe drive the route your quote was priced on. If anything changes on the way, the crew calls you rather than you finding out when the van does not show.
Placement and unloadFurniture goes into the rooms you point the crew to on arrival; labelled boxes go straight to the room on the label.
HandoverA final check against the same inventory, a signature, and you are done.

Packing, if you want it

Fragile-only cover (kitchen, glassware, pictures) adds about 20% to the move price; a full pack adds about 45%. Materials - double-walled boxes, wardrobe cartons, tissue and tape - are delivered free, three days ahead of your move, and unused boxes are collected back afterwards. They are priced separately from the pack itself, from £55 for a studio to £300 for a five-bedroom house - see our packing service for the full breakdown of what full and fragile-only actually cover.

House removals - the details

How much does a house removal cost?

A two-bedroom local move typically runs £560-£820, and a three-bedroom £820-£1,200. Distance, floors, parking and packing move the number, which is why our quote form prices each of those separately instead of hiding them.

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks for a month-end Friday, which is the busiest slot in the calendar. Midweek and mid-month we can often fit you in within a week.

What happens if my completion is delayed?

We load and hold. Your goods stay on the vehicle or go into our containerised store overnight at no extra charge if the delay is under 24 hours.

Do you dismantle beds and wardrobes?

Yes, £42 an item covers dismantle and reassemble - beds, wardrobes, desks and flat-pack units. Add the count on step six of the quote and it is priced in.

What can't you move?

For safety and insurance reasons we can't carry fuel, gas cylinders, aerosols, fireworks or other flammable and explosive goods, illegal items or substances, live animals, or food that needs refrigeration. Cash, jewellery, deeds and similar valuables should travel with you rather than on the van - the full list is in our terms.

Does moving on a weekend cost more?

Saturday carries a 12% premium and Sunday 15%, the same date-based pricing used on every quote we give. A midweek date, especially mid-month, costs less if your plans are flexible.

Whose insurance covers my move?

Every move is covered to at least £50,000 goods-in-transit and £2m public liability - by our own policy or the performing partner's, which we verify before they carry any job.

How much deposit do I pay, and when is the balance due?

A 25% deposit (minimum £50) secures your date, and the balance is not due until 7 days before the move. Moves under £250 are simply paid in full when you book, with no separate deposit and balance.
